Hand-finished linen, cut and sewn in Lagos

Our story

Hand-finished linen, cut and sewn in Lagos.

EVERYSTYLISHMAN makes linen clothes for men who live in the heat and dress for it. Everything we sell is cut and sewn in our workroom in Yaba, Lagos, in small runs, by people we know by name.

Four pairs of hands

Every piece starts as a bolt of pre-washed linen and passes through four pairs of hands before it reaches you.

  1. Cut Patterns are laid and cut by hand, a run of 40 at a time.
  2. Sew Seams are sewn and finished so they hold up to years of washing.
  3. Finish Hems are rolled and buttons sewn on by hand.
  4. Press Each piece is checked, pressed and folded for you.

Why linen

Linen breathes in 34° heat and softens with every wash. We use European linen between 185 and 210 gsm: light enough for a Lagos afternoon, with enough weight to hang well. Some colours are dyed by hand in Abẹ́òkúta.

We pre-wash each garment once, so the size you buy is the size you keep.

Why small runs

We cut in runs of 40 per colour. It keeps waste low and means we only make what people wear. It also means a sold-out colour often stays sold out. Join the list to hear about new drops 24 hours before the shop.

Names

Many of our pieces are named in Yoruba: Ìrọ̀, Kẹ́mbẹ́, Ọ̀wọ̀. They're a reminder of where the shapes come from, and where they're made.
